The first mistake I see a lot of people make is not demonstrating the impact of their work and previous experince. It is important not to just list your technical skills and tasks you’ve performed. Highlight how your work has made an impact on the organization or project you worked on.

Whenever possible, include quantitative data to back up your accomplishments. For example, instead of saying “Improved website performance,” say “Improved website performance by 25%.”

2. Focusing Too Much on Technical Skills

While technical skills are important, it’s also important to highlight your soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. This is usually important to be done in the context of a work experince rather than adding it to the skills section. Since doing this, you indirectly show these skills practically without being so generic.

For example, instead of saying you have good communication skills, you can say:

• Worked collaboratively with stakeholders and software engineers to establish business and technical requirements and establish data collection protocols

This will show that you can communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds.

3. Using Overly Technical Language

Remember that not everyone reading your CV will be a data scientist. Use clear and concise language to describe your experience and accomplishments without getting into many technical details.

You can mention the main tools used and the main techniques and steps done, but do not go very deep into explaining the technicalities, as this will be further discussed during the technical interview.

Remember that you should balance three important aspects when you write about a certain experince:

• First, showing the important tools and skills required for the job, as it will be important to pass the screening phase, whether it is done through software and automated tools, nontechnical recruiters, or technical recruiters.

• The impact of your work in numbers is very important, especially for business owners and non-technical recruiters.

• Finally, you should focus on decreasing the length and making it as summarized as possible, and highlighting only the important skills and main impact.

4. Not Tailoring Your CV to the Job Description

When you’re applying for a job, it’s essential to make sure that your CV or resume is tailored to the specific job you’re interested in. The reason for this is that each job posting is unique, and employers are looking for specific skills and experience that match their requirements.

If you don’t take the time to tailor your CV, you run the risk of submitting a generic document that doesn’t stand out from the other applications. A generic CV will also make it more difficult for employers to see how your skills and experience match their needs, which can result in your application being rejected.

To avoid this, start by carefully reviewing the job description and identifying the key skills and requirements listed. Then, make sure your CV highlights your relevant skills and experience in a way that clearly shows how you can meet those requirements.

For example, if the job posting requires experience with a particular software application, make sure you highlight any experience you have with that software in your CV. If the job requires strong communication skills, make sure you include examples of how you’ve demonstrated those skills in your past roles.

It’s also important to use the same language and terminology used in the job posting when describing your skills and experience. This can help to make it clear to the employer that you have the relevant experience and skills they’re looking for.

By taking the time to tailor your CV to the job description, you can increase your chances of being invited for an interview and ultimately landing the job.

5. Including Irrelevant Information

When creating your resume for a data science position, it’s important to make sure that you’re including only the information that is relevant to the job you are applying for. Including irrelevant information can clutter your CV and make it more difficult for employers to see how your skills and experience match their needs.

One common mistake is including unrelated work experience. For example, if you’re applying for a data science role, your experience working as a bartender or retail sales associate probably won’t be relevant to the job.

Instead, focus on your data science experience, such as previous roles where you’ve worked with data or completed data science projects. However, if you do not have any relevant work experince, you can mention some unrelated work experince that shows important soft skills required by the position.

Similarly, it’s important to be selective about the volunteering experience to include on your CV. It’s great to show that you have a well-rounded life outside of work. So, including volunteering experiences that don’t relate to the job can take up valuable space on your CV.

Instead, consider including a volunteering experince that showcases your skills or traits that are relevant to the job, such as volunteering for a data science project or participating in a data science-related competition. And you can add the rest to your LinkedIn profile.

Remember, your CV should showcase your skills and experience in data science and how they align with the job you’re applying for. By focusing on the most relevant information and leaving out anything that’s not necessary, you can create a more effective and impactful CV that will stand out to potential employers.

6. Adding a Very Generic Information

When crafting your resume, it is important to keep only information that will show your uniqueness and make you stand out. Therefore, adding very generic information such as the summary section, very common projects, very popular online courses, or very common soft skills in the skills section.

Not only will adding this generic information take valuable space from your resume so that you can include more relevant and unique information, but it will also affect your application, as it will not show your skills, and you will not be able to distinguish yourself from the other applicants.

7. Using an Unprofessional Email Address

When applying for a job, it’s important to make sure that your email address is professional and appropriate for the workplace. Using an unprofessional email address, such as “partygirl123@email.com,” can make you appear immature or unprofessional, and may even cause employers to overlook your application.

Use a variation of your full name or initials, such as johnsmith@email.com or jsmith@email.com. This makes it easy for employers to remember your email address and connect it to your application.

Avoid using email addresses that include nicknames, hobbies, or other personal information, as these can come across as unprofessional. It’s also important to avoid using email services that are associated with spam or questionable content, such as AOL or Hotmail.

However, it’s generally not necessary to include personal information such as your age, marital status, gender, or religious beliefs. In fact, including this type of information could potentially open you up to discrimination or bias, which could harm your chances of being hired.

When deciding what personal information to include on your resume, it’s important to ask yourself if it is truly relevant to the job you are applying for. If it’s not directly related to your qualifications or ability to perform the job, it’s best to leave it off.

1. Resume Structure

Let’s first start with the structure of the resume itself. We will focus on the sections that you should have and how to order them. We will not talk about what and how you should write each of them; this will be focused on in the next section. Let’s start with my preferred structure:

1.1. My Preferred Structure

• Personal Information: Starts with personal information, which includes your name, address (city and country), email, and telephone number. You can also add hyperlinks to your personal profile, GitHub page, or personal blog.

• Education: The second section is the education section, where you should add your educational degree. If you have educational degrees that are related to the position, you can add this section in the beginning; otherwise, I would suggest putting it below the skills section. This should be a short section, just two lines, so as to make sure you leave space for more important sections, which are the experience and resume.

• Previous Experince: The third section should be the professional experince which includes your professional experince in the field. If you have no prior experince or you have working experience in another field, my suggestion will be to put it below the skills section.

• Projects: The project sections will be mainly composed of side projects or products you build. This can be very important if you do not have prior professional experince in this field. If you have previous working experience, then you can put it after the skills section; else, you can add it as the second or third section, depending on your educational degree’s relevance to this field.

• Skills: The skill section is really important as be helpful to pass a lot of automatic scanning software, and also it will show your current set of skills in one place. A good place to put it is under the working experince (if you have relevant working experience ) or else under the projects section.

• Awards: The final section you can add is the awards you received during your work or study, or, more importantly, in data science competitions and hackathons.

1.2. Keep your resume to one page

It is important to keep your resume short. As a rule of thumb, one page if you have under a decade of experience and two pages if more. This is very important as recruiters are always busy, so keeping your resume short and removing the fluff is key to making sure that your highlights will shine in the small-time recruiters give to your resume.

Tips to shorten your resume:

1. Omitting non-relevant jobs and experience: There is no need to add non-relevant job experience to your resume. The exception to this is when you have no job experience that is relevant to the job you are applying for; therefore, it will be good to show that you have been involved in real work and can handle the pressure and the responsibility that comes with work.

2. Avoid neutral information: As mentioned above, the goal in this step is to show your uniqueness, so make sure that every added section in your resume will show and ensure this. Therefore, adding neutral information will not help you distinguish yourself from other people. One big example of this is the objective/summary section. Another common example is personal skills such as teamwork and working under pressure etc.

3. Keep unique projects: Don’t list common projects or course homework in the projects section. They aren’t that helpful in distinguishing you from other applicants. List only novel projects. Also, no need to list all the projects you have done, even if they are novel; focus more on the projects related to the business of the company you are applying to. You can add a link to your GitHub where the recruiter can find all of your projects.

4. Listing too many volunteer experiences: It is great that you are civically engaged and trying to improve your community, but most tech companies are more interested in your ability to turn data into business insights than your volunteer experience. You can add them to your LinkedIn profile, as you can have more space.

1.3. Add External Links to your work

Since you will not be able to show everything in your resume. Therefore, it is important to have external links that show all your work in more detail. Another advantage of this is to show that you are able to do real work by publishing your work in code, and also the ability to share the results and insights that you got from the data with others.

Examples of this:

• GitHub: Having a GitHub listed will give the impression that you have done work out in the open and that you are aware of version control. It is also okay if your GitHub is not perfectly organized. But make sure you have a good description and documentation for each project, especially the projects listed in your resume.

• Data Science Blogs: Adding hyperlinks for your data science blogs or well-documented projects will get the recruiter’s attention and will also link them to your work, and will also validate that you have done something and published it in the real world.

2. What to Write in Each Section

Now, after you have structured your resume, it is time to start filling it. This is, of course, the more critical step, as you now have to showcase your skills in the best way to make sure that you will land a data science interview.

2.1. Education Section

As mentioned before, you can add the education section at the beginning of your resume if you have a relevant degree, for example, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, a master’s degree in data science or AI, and so on.

Another reason you might put your educational degrees at the top of your resume is if you have a degree from a Top 25 university, for example, even if it is not relevant to data science or AI.

In the education section, you will add six main pieces of information:

• The university you got the degree from

• The degree and the specialization you got your degree in

• Some of the relevant coursework

• Your GPA and your rank (Add both if they are only high!)

• City & Country of your university

• The starting and ending dates

2.2. Experince Section

The second section is the experince section. This is one of the most important sections of your resume, especially if you have relevant data science experince. If you have a data science experience, here is how I would structure each experince:

• What were you working on: The first thing you need to mention is an overview of the project you were working on and its goal. This is important to give the recruiter an overview of what you were working on and the final goal of it. This can also include details about the data and resources used in this project.

• Your role and tools used: The second aspect of the experince you need to mention is your exact role and the main tasks you worked on. Also, it is important to mention the tools and skills used to accomplish this task. Mentioning the skills and the tools in the context of a project or experince is really valuable and shows that you can use them.

• The results you achieve and the impact of your projects in numbers: It is very important to be able to write your impact in numbers. This could be increasing customer retention, increasing profit, or decreasing cost. Focus on business metrics rather than modeling metrics, as this shows the effect of your data science work on the business.

If you do not have prior experince in the data science and AI field, you can still add some of your professional experience, which shows important technical and non-technical skills related to the positions you are applying to. It is important to focus on and elaborate on these skills when you write this experince. Let’s take a couple of examples to make it clearer:

• If you were working as a teacher assistant, for example, then very important skills to focus on are communication and presentation skills.

• If you worked as a researcher in a non-relevant field, then you can focus on skills related to research, reporting, and documentation.

2.3.Projects Section

The third section you should have in your resume is the projects section. This section will be really important if you have no relevant experince in the data science field, as it will show your skills and capabilities in the form of projects you did and the problems you solved.

It is important to have at least one or two end-to-end data science projects to put in this section. I previously wrote an article about how to build a real end-to-end project you can find here. It is also important to have a portfolio of skill-based projects on your personal website or GitHub page that you can add links to them in your project sections.

Here is how to structure a project:

• Problem statement: First, you should state the problem you are trying to solve and the business question you are trying to answer through your project. In other words, this is the motivation behind this project. The more this statement is realistic, and you are trying to solve a real problem, the better impact your project will have on the recruiters and hiring managers.

• Methodology: Second, you should mention how you solve the problem, stating the tools and the techniques used, and an overview of the project’s pipeline.

• Results: Finally, you will need to mention the results and achievements of your work and focus on numbers. In this case, it might be difficult to have a business impact, but you can focus on the performance metrics, and it is important to compare them to a baseline. Also, if you managed to make your project live and available to use, you can mention the number of users and the income generated.

2.4.Skills Section

In the skills section, you can focus on the common important skills, and you can customize the rest depending on the position. I really found it helpful to have three or four main categories and start to fill in the skills and the tools in them. For example, you can have the following three main categories of skills:

• Programming

• Data Science

• Machine learning

Then you can start filling each of them with relevant skills, and you should focus on matching your skills with the required skills by the employer.

2.5.Awards Section

Finally is the award section in which you can add the rewards you got, especially if they are related to data science competitions or hackathons. I would also mention if I got the best paper award at a scientific conference or won a scholarship from a respected institution.

3. Important Tips

3.1. Impress the recruiters with numbers

As mentioned, your main goal in this step is to impress the recruiter and to distinguish yourself from other applicants. In this step of the hiring process, probably your application will be reviewed by a non-technical recruiter, so adding a lot of technical details to your resume will not help you achieve this goal. However, a very good way to do this is by numbers. Numbers are always catchy and are a very good way to show the impact and the importance of your work in a very good and brief way, without the need for any technical knowledge.

Numbers that can be included:

1. Views or usage of your projects: A very important skill that every data scientist should have is the ability to communicate and report the results. The reason for this is that you will have to report the results and insights you got from the data to the stakeholders and to the marketing team. Based on this, you should have already published your projects and the results you got out of them. You can publish them in the form of blogs or videos on LinkedIn, GitHub, Medium, or kaggle. Mentioning the number of views and downloads of each project is very important, as it will show that you have done meaningful projects and got results that could be shared.

2. Quantifying your impact in business terms: If you have previous experience or worked on a freelancing project in which you were able to have a real business impact, it will be very beneficial to add it to your resume, and you should highlight it. An example of this is the amount of money earned or saved due to your work. If you have no prior experience, you can still estimate this by doing real end-to-end data science projects and estimating the amount of money you could have made or saved by them. For example, you can work on building a system that can classify incoming text requests for a certain business into two classes (passed and need to be reviewed) and integrate this within a website or mobile application, and this will save a certain amount of time and effort, which could be translated into the amount of saved money.

3. User evaluation metrics: Use evaluation metrics and KPIs related to the business domain you are planning to work in or related to the company you are applying to. For example, your work enhanced the performance by x% or decreased the time of certain processes by y%.

3.2. Make Sure Every Link Works & Up to date

As mentioned above, it is important to have hyperlinks for external works. Therefore, it will be very important to make sure that each link is working and not broken.

Because if the hiring manager or the recruiter would like to get more information about a certain project and finds that the link is not working, this might leave a bad impression about you.

3.3. Avoid Grammatical Mistakes

Another important tip is to avoid grammatical and punctuation mistakes in your resume. This is also very important alos as having errors in your resume will give a bad impression about your skills, especially your soft and personal skills. There are a lot of tools that can be used to check your resume, such as Grammarly.

3.4. Customize Your Resume for Each Position

It is important to customize your resume for the position you are applying for. As mentioned before, it is important to keep your resume to only one page long. Therefore, you will not have much space to show everything. So try to keep only the relevant experience, skills, and projects for the position you are applying to. Also, if you have time, try to do at least one portfolio project related to the industry or the domain of the company you are applying to.

Another tip is the naming of the resume file. It will be better to name it [FirstName_LastName_CompanyName]. This will give the impression that you are more organized and have more interest in the company you are applying for.

4. Practical Example: Analyzing Top Resume

This is the resume of Tina Huang, which helped her to land a data science role at a FAANG company. You can also find it in the same GitHub repo mentioned before. Let’s analyze it to see how to incorporate these tips practically.

First, we can see the structure of the resume as we mentioned above:

• First, it starts with the personal information

• Secondly, it is followed by educational degrees

• Thirdly is the professional experince

• After that comes the skills section

• Finally, it ends with the projects.

4.1. Personal Information

We can see that in this section, we have the first name and last name, email address, phone number, and city. Having the city in this section is important, especially if you are applying for an on-site position in the same city you are living in. However, as I mentioned, it is missing the external links to your personal websites and pages, which I prefer to be there.

4.2. Education

The second section is the education section, which has two main degrees. The first one is the relevant educational experience, which is a master’s degree in computer science. We can see that she has included her GPA since it is high, so it will be good to add it.

The second education degree is a non-relevant degree, but since it is from a top university, such as the University of Toronto, it will have a very good impact in the screening phase. She also added her GPA, as it is high.

4.3. Professional Experience

Next is the professional experince. We can see the yellow highlighted areas focus on the tools and the skills used, and the blue highlighted areas focus on the business impact of your work in numbers. We can also see that she focused on the size of data used in each of the tasks, as it also indicates that you can use big data and apply different methods to it.

4.4. Skills

In the skills section, we can see that there are three main categories, which are:

• Programming Languages: Her,e she added different programming languages she can.

• Big Data & Machine Learning: Big data tools and machine learning frameworks, and algorithms.

• Data Science & Miscellaneous Technologies: Data science tools and skills.

You need to focus on the important skills and keywords in the job description and make sure that they will be in the skills section.

4.4. Projects

The last part of the resume is the projects in which she focused on nontechnical and volunteering projects. You can see that she focused on important personal and nontechnical skills aspects of these projects. This can be seen in the yellow-highlighted areas. For example, in the first project, she focused on highlighting leadership skills and communication skills as important aspects of the teaching assistant position.

1. The Screening Process

The first step is the gatekeeper stage: the Application Review and Recruiter Screen. This is usually a 15–30 minute phone call with a recruiter or hiring manager, and it is more dangerous than it looks.

In the past, recruiters looked for simple keywords like “Python” or “Pandas.” Today, for AI roles, they are scanning for a different set of signals to filter out the noise. Because “AI” is a buzzword, they receive thousands of applications from people who have only watched a few YouTube videos. They need to verify that your experience is legitimate and not just surface-level.

What they look for and how to pass:

Recruiters today are trained to listen for modern tool proficiency. They want to hear about LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, PyTorch, and Vector Databases (like Pinecone, Milvus, or Weaviate). They will also check if you are “fluent” in the current ecosystem. A common question to test this is, “What recent AI release or paper excited you the most?”

If you mention something from two years ago, it’s a red flag. You need to confidently discuss recent developments, like the latest Llama model release, advancements in mixture-of-experts (MoE), or new OpenAI features. Finally, have clear, crisp answers for your logistics: notice period, salary expectations, and visa status. If you stumble here, they assume you aren’t serious.

2. Behavioral Interview

The first formal interview is the Behavioral and Experience interview. In the context of AI, this goes far beyond standard questions about “a time you had a conflict.” The field of Generative AI is ambiguous, expensive, and risky. Employers need to verify your “AI Maturity.”

They need to know that you understand that AI isn’t magic—it is a probabilistic tool that can fail, hallucinate, or output biased data. They are looking for candidates who can bridge the gap between technical complexity and business reality.

What to Expect and Example Questions:

3. Technical Interview

The second interview is a technical deep dive. This is where the “Data Science” interview differs significantly from the “AI” interview. It is a blend of software engineering excellence, data engineering, and a deep theoretical understanding of neural networks. You cannot just be a researcher; you must also be an engineer.

3.1. SQL & Data Pipeline Questions

Even in Generative AI, data is fuel. You cannot fine-tune models or build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems without robust data pipelines. Many candidates overlook this, thinking they will just work with models, but 80% of the work is still data curation.

What to Expect:

You will face questions on complex joins, window functions, and data cleaning strategies. However, the “AI Twist” comes in how you handle unstructured data. Expect questions about storing and querying JSON logs from model outputs, or how to design a schema that tracks user feedback (thumbs up/down) to create a dataset for RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback). You might also be asked about the logic behind Vector Search, specifically how metrics like Cosine Similarity or Euclidean Distance are calculated and when to use which.

• How to Prepare: Practice SQL questions that involve text manipulation and JSON parsing. Understand the trade-offs between different vector indexing methods (like HNSW vs. IVF).

3.2. Python & Framework Questions

The next type of interview question covers coding. In AI, this extends beyond basic algorithms to fluency in frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow. It is no longer sufficient to just write a script that runs in a notebook; you must demonstrate production-ready coding practices.

What to Expect:

You will be expected to write clean, efficient, modular code. Since LLM applications often rely on calling external APIs (like OpenAI or Anthropic), you might be asked to write code using Python’s asyncio library to handle concurrent requests without blocking the system.

• Example Questions:

  • Implement a multi-head attention block from scratch in PyTorch. (Tests deep framework knowledge).

  • Write a script to parallelize data processing for a large corpus of text. (Tests efficiency).

  • Optimize a Python function to reduce latency during model inference. (Test engineering optimization).

• How to Prepare: Go beyond LeetCode. Practice writing classes in PyTorch, using Python decorators, and handling API errors and retries gracefully.

3.3. Math, Probability & Architecture Questions

You might not calculate p-values by hand as often as a statistician, but you need to understand the Linear Algebra and Calculus that power the models. This is what separates “AI wrappers” (who only call APIs) from true “AI Engineers” (who understand the black box).

What to Expect:

The questions will be conceptual but rigorous. They want to ensure you understand why models behave the way they do.

• Example Questions:

  • Explain the vanishing gradient problem and how Residual Connections (ResNets) or Layer Normalization help solve it.

  • What is the mathematical difference between Softmax and Sigmoid, and why do we use Softmax for multi-class classification?

  • How does Positional Encoding work in Transformers? (Since Transformers process data in parallel, they have no inherent sense of order—you need to explain the sine/cosine math that fixes this).

• How to Prepare: Review the fundamental papers (like “Attention is All You Need”) and be able to derive simple gradients or explain matrix multiplication dimensions.

3.4. GenAI & Deep Learning Questions

This is the core of the interview. You must demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of Generative AI. This section evolves the fastest, so relying on textbooks from 2020 will not help you. You need to know the current state-of-the-art.

What to Expect:

Questions will cover Foundation Models, fine-tuning techniques, and critical evaluation metrics.

• Architectures: Explain the difference between Encoder-only (BERT), Decoder-only (GPT), and Encoder-Decoder (T5) architectures. You should know which architecture is better for classification vs. generation.

• Fine-tuning: When would you use LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) vs. full fine-tuning? Be ready to explain how LoRA freezes the main weights and injects trainable rank decomposition matrices.

• Context: How do you handle context window limitations? Discuss strategies like RAG, summarization chains, or sliding windows.

• Evaluation: How do you evaluate an LLM effectively? Mentioning BLEU or ROUGE is okay, but you should also discuss “LLM-as-a-judge” frameworks or tools like RAGAS.

3.5. AI Product & System Design Questions

Companies want to know if you can build usable AI products. In these interviews, you are given a vague problem statement—like “Build a customer support bot”—and asked to design the end-to-end architecture. This tests your ability to think about the system as a whole, not just the model.

What You Must Cover:

• The Stack: Explain your choice of Vector DB, Embedding model, and LLM. Why OpenAI vs. Llama 3?

• Trade-offs: This is crucial. Discuss Latency vs. Cost. Using GPT-4 gives the best answers but is slow and expensive. Using a quantized Llama-3-8b is fast and cheap. How do you decide?

• Safety & Privacy: How do you prevent the bot from swearing or leaking PII (Personally Identifiable Information)? Discuss guardrails and input/output validation.

• Feedback Loops: How do you capture user feedback to improve the system over time?

3.6. Resume-Based Questions

The last type of technical question delves into your specific portfolio. The interviewer will pick one project from your resume and drill down until you run out of answers. They want to see if you really did the work or if you just rode the coattails of a teammate.

What to Expect:

Be prepared to defend every technical decision.

• Why did you choose DistilBERT over RoBERTa for that classification task?

• How did you handle class imbalance in your training set?

• You mentioned you optimized inference speed—what specific techniques did you use? Quantization? Pruning? ONNX runtime?

• How to Prepare: Review your own code before the interview. Know your projects inside out, including what failed and what you would do differently today.

4. Take-home AI Assignment

This is the fourth round of the hiring process. In the era of GenAI, this is less about “cleaning a CSV” and more about “building a prototype.” Companies want to see that you can build a functional application that actually does something useful.

What to Expect:

You might be given access to an API key or a dataset and asked to solve a problem within 24–48 hours. Common tasks include building a “Chat with your PDF” tool using RAG, fine-tuning a small model to classify customer intent, or creating an API wrapper that gives an LLM “memory.”
How to Pass:

• Problem-solving: Can you prompt-engineer your way out of hallucinations? Does your solution handle edge cases?

• Code Quality: Is your code modular? Did you include a Dockerfile so they can run it easily? (This is a huge plus).

• Evaluation: Did you create a way to test if your AI is outputting garbage? Including a small evaluation script shows seniority.

• Preparation Tip: Create a “Skeleton” project on GitHub with your favorite stack (e.g., LangChain + ChromaDB + OpenAI + Streamlit) ready to go so you don’t waste time on boilerplate setup during the timed test.

5. Technical Interview With Your Future Team

The last stage of the hiring process is usually a technical interview with the team members you are joining. This is often a combination of a “defense” of your take-home assignment and a culture-fit assessment.

What to Expect:

First, you will walk through your code. They will ask questions like: “Why did you choose a chunk size of 512 for your embeddings? How would this impact retrieval accuracy?” or “You used OpenAI’s API here; how would we migrate this to an open-source model if our costs got too high?” They want to see that your choices were deliberate, not random.

Cultural Fit:

Finally, this interview measures whether you can keep up with the team’s pace. Since AI changes weekly, they need to know you are a continuous learner. They might ask, “How do you keep up with the daily releases on Hugging Face?” or “What papers have you read this month?” They are looking for a colleague who is humble, curious, and can debate architectural choices respectfully.
